About

me1.jpgHello my name is Nicole Lawson and I live in a small town called Felton located in Pennsylvania. I am a wife to my wonderful husband Jodie and a mom to 2 beautiful boys Tyler age 10 and Hunter age 2,  I also have 2 stepdaughters and a stepson all older children but still living at home. My family is very important to me and this business give’s me the opportunity to have more freedom so that I can be with them more.

Prior to starting my candle business I was a full time child care provider for 8 years in a daycare located 30 min from my home. I loved child care and was a single mom at the time so it was ideal for me to be there with my now 9 yr old during the day and make money at the same time. I then married and got pregnant with my our son Hunter which was totally an accident but we don’t ever regret it. I had him in March of 2005 and we decided it would be best for me to stay home with him. At the time we were selling part time on eBay and we figured I could just do it full time which I did do but as Hunter got older it started to become a problem getting things on and packing items to be sent out as he needed more one on one time. We had been looking for a “work From home opportunity’s” during my entire pregnancy and tried a few but they all turned out to be scams.

Well I finally told Jodie (my husband) that if I was going to be home I wanted to sell something that I enjoyed. Candles are something I absolutely LOVE so I knew that was what I wanted to sell. I tried a few companies and really did not connect with them. You had to have shows to get your kit and then had to have so many shows within so much time to even continue on and that just was not for me. Like I said before my family comes first and I don’t want to be forced to have shows. While I was with one of these “other” type companies I came across a web site in a search that I had done and it was all about a “new” candle.  I filled out a survey on the page and got some samples in the mail from it, and more information. Well those samples smelled wonderful but I just was not sure with a new baby on board if I was ready to start this business so I left them sit on my dishwasher for 3 months!! Every time I walked by I could smell them still as strong as the day they arrived.  After three months of smelling them I finally told Jodie if we don’t try this now we never will.

Well I did do it and here I am a Diamond Distributor for the company selling candles booking fundraiser’s, making my own schedule, and continuing to grow so I can reach my next level. My goal was to find something I enjoy that allowed me more family time. I found it. Now my goal is to share this with others so they don’t have to go through the trials of other so called great opportunities that are out there.
